Need to remove the fuzzies fast? Our 9 Inch Defelting Pads coupled to a variable speed sander/polisher can reduce your sanding time by as much as 70%. These pads provide accelerated removal of the raised grain from wood without removing excess material. They also aid in the removal of residual stain that may have been missed prior to the sealing and staining process. They work excellent for defelting and smoothing decking, railings, smooth planned fence boards, and log homes. They are not recommended for use with rough sawn lumber and material. We highly recommend either the Makita 9227C sander/polisher or the DeWalt DW849 sander polisher for use with these pads. A flexible backer pad and lock nut is also required for the use of these pads as shown below.
